Custom restored 14-speed Modelo 2500 Italian frame road bike.
Shimano 600 2x7 STI dual-control levers.
Shimano 600 componentry (presently Ultegra).

Standover height = 34". Top tube 22.5" c-c.
Total bike weight = 23 lbs.

State-of-the-art Modelo 2500 Columbus SL (see the "Birdie"?) frame made in Italy.
Custom-made blue/white paint and decals. Stripped frame weight = 3.9 lbs.
Pantographed BENOTTO on seat stays and dropouts.
NEW rear-axle change screws. Separate rear derailleur hanger.
Chrome fork made in Italy, pantographed BENOTTO on crown.
S # 1240. Approximated mfr 1991.

The Columbus SL frames like this one were made in Italy, then painted in Mexico. (On a scale of 10 the paint is most likely 7 - 8).
This frame was initially a Dream Machine racing group bike, never crashed or abused.

Bars: SR Sakae Modolo 43cm Anatomic Bend. NEW customized black cork wrap.
Stem: SR 4" quill (Japan).
Headsert: Sekei Levin Tange (Japan).
Brakes/Shifting: Shimano 600 STI dual control 2x7-speed ST-6400 shift/brake levers, black hoods like brand-new. Shimano 600 quick-release swivel-arm calipers. Shimano front derailleur. Shimano 600 rear derailleur / All NEW cable televisions & housings.
Crankset: Campagnolo Centaur 172.5 pedal arms. 53t/39t chain rings.
Bottom Bracket: NEW Shimano Italian thread sealed cartridge BB71.
Rims: Araya 700c anodized copper-tone, quick-release hubs. HP tires, presta-stem tubes.
Cassette: NEW Hyperglide 12t-23t cassette on Dura Ace freehub. ($170 value alone).
Chain: NEW Shimano narrow-gauge HG.
Saddle: Selle Italia (black).
Post: Kalin alloy black 27.2 (extra long) micro adjust.
Bottle cage: Alloy - matching blue.
Reflectors: Front, back and rims.
